I needed small mesh bags for about a dozen crab traps and they fitted perfectly. I had a chance to test them recently and they contained just enough bait to attract crabs but small enough to stay in the middle of the trap. I simply tied the bags shut if they were baited and then attached the strings to the spot in the center of the trap. My only complaint is that after a full night's sleep the crabs slowly chewed through several bags to get the bait. No big deal, since my traps were already full. To be honest, these bags turned out to be sturdier than I expected. Almost as strong as a fly screen door! This might not be the most common use for these bags, but they suit me perfectly!
