You get two smaller towels and three larger ones, but they are all made from the same very thick material with gray on one side, yellow on the other and black trim. I actually tested them to see how much water they could hold and the small towels were able to hold over 10 ounces of water without dripping compared to one of my roughly equal sized "regular" MF towels, the only holds about 4 ounces. . The density of these towels is directly related to how much liquid they absorb. I like the little loop on the corner that allows me to hang them up to dry. I don't like the labels sewn into each napkin, although they were easy to peel and remove. One thing I found a bit odd was that while these towels absorb a lot of water, when they get slightly wet, they initially repel water. I had to push the towel into the water to soak it up. I've also found that they don't remove every last drop of water from surfaces like my car windows, rather they leave wet streaks on the surface. They are therefore good for drying, but are not suitable for wiping car surfaces or windows. I know it might sound a bit strange when I hear they absorb a lot of water but don't leave a final streak. Humidity, but I experienced that in testing. I definitely plan on using them for car washes, but not for a final wipe or to use with detail spray. One star off for not being able to dry streak-free, but overall I really like them. And while I'll be using them primarily for washing cars, I can easily see that they're great for drying a wet dog, or for many other household cleaning tasks.
