This is the third Pyle amplifier I have purchased to power my TV's external speakers. This is a basic budget amp that will perfectly fill your TV room with quality sound. If you are a music lover looking for realistic concert hall performance then this amp is not for you. And remember, you won't get clean, audience-filling sound at this price point. But if you're looking for an inexpensive basic amplifier for a range of speakers then this will work just fine. It looks like this amp is intended to be used as a speakerphone - the standard mic-in on the back. I don't use this feature, but combined with a decent set of speakers it's probably a good event notification system. The advantage is that you can mix your music input with a microphone. My only (minor) complaint is the extremely bright output level meters. These are LEDs and they flash like strobe lights. It definitely won't work in a darkened TV room, so you'll have to hide them somehow. Several other reviewers complained about the "poor quality". I don't know where this complaint comes from. My amp is a solid, fairly powerful piece of equipment. All I see is evidence of good commercial quality components being used.
