I have had this device for a few weeks now. Ants were my problem. They came out of the window sill and the skirting board. Hundreds of them would have appeared if my son had left food in the room. (Fortunately this is a vacant room). I sprayed ant poison around the stucco throughout the room and around the windows and then wired this device up. This device doesn't bother my dog either, but I leave it at the average level. There are 3 settings. The highest setting is penetrable by the human ear, but if you don't have pets and are away from home, I suggest leaving that setting and then turning to the first or second setting when you get home.
