This orange is bright, although yellow and green are brighter. I found this to be a color where the military version was lighter than the industrial version. I have compared the six colors in military and industrial versions, see pictures for more information. In general, I did not notice a significant difference between the military and industrial classes. I love how the Industrial wraps clearly show the color while the Military just has the name of the color. I've found them to last the advertised time, note the white and blue are rated for a shorter time than the others, 8 hours versus 12. (There are other models with different brightness/duration). The brightest by my standards were the yellows and greens, followed by the oranges. Red, blue and white are not enough to read the map; but good for marking things at the campsite or elsewhere. Other uses: Give each child a different color to help you find them by marking different hiking or skiing trails, or use different colors to mark first aid/water points, etc.
