I use this to trace the wiring of dog fences and robotic lawn mowers. When tying and seeding the lawn I used a simpler and cheaper system to determine the wire paths. While a random discontinuity is good enough to be detected, the simpler system was not accurate enough and simple enough to be easy to use. As a result, my lawnmower lines went bad. Then I got 521 and was able to find gaps less than an inch (and see how far my original measurements were from the actual paths). However, for a small lawn, this is probably overkill. But with our 3 hectares, with a dog fence and two mowers, that's a godsend!
