No leather. Possibly vinyl based. So far (used for a few months on a 10 year old BMX bike, bought another for a women's mountain bike, both love them) Quality made. Soft material like rubberized fabric. Nice. weatherproof Good company, but give a pillow. Good springs under the seat. Looks great. We have red and blue stitching to match these bikes. Easy installation comes with wrench. Adjustable top bottom left right. It is possible to rock the seat back and forth a bit during installation to burn closer or farther from the handlebars. A good place. Good price. So far, so good.
