Review on Pink Dishwasher Magnet With Cute Design For Kitchen Organization - KitchenTour Clean Dirty Sign Indicator by David Bone

Great for households with kids

This little dishwasher magnet is super cute!We are trying to get our 9-year-old to actually put his dishes in the dishwasher rather than dump them in the sink for us to deal with. Trouble is, he doesn't seem to notice or care if the dishes already in there are clean. So he's put dirty dishes on top of clean ones on more than one occasion. Not cool.I'd seen magnets like this before and always kind of scoffed at them. Cute, but who needs it, you know? Well, apparently me. I needed this. This magnet has actually been really useful, because my son basically has to look right at it as he's opening the dishwasher door. If it says clean, he now knows to put his plate in the sink instead. And if it says dirty, he can put his stuff in the dishwasher without incident. We haven't has any more mixups since we got this a few days ago.My 4-year-old is also a big fan. He loves to "help" with everything. So he'd decided that it's his job to switch the magnet when it's time. Of course, I had to make him a deal: in exchange for always letting him do it, he can't just randomly mess with it whenever. Seems to be working out.Our dishwasher is stainless and this magnet sticks to it REALLY well. Must be some strong magnets in there. The clean/dirty is in a cute font. It's easy to read. The colors are neutral and although they don't match my kitchen, particularly, they don't clash with it, either.I'm really happy I got this magnet. It's been really useful for us.

Pros
  • Works great and sticks on well!
Cons
  • The magnet may not be strong enough to stay on during wash cycles
