When I find something I like, I stick to it. Columbia stopped making my favorite style - the Pilsner - so I had to look elsewhere. It took me two years and lots of returns, but these shorts are worth it. They are durable, rugged, classic, don't reveal too much of my bum and thighs, yet are flattering - basically, AWESOME. I wear them hiking, working around the house or well, anywhere. They arrive already comfortable with a little added stretch and stay that way. The colors are nice, too. And hello, the pockets are real and they work. My only complaint is that the sizing can be slightly off, even within the same size the waist can vary.You can see in the photos that the size 1 has a larger waistband than the size 3 , and the two size 3s are different sizes.
