I read negative reviews before ordering. I was cautious and indecisive; However, the prospect of saving almost $150 on a new key from the dealer was too good to pass up. So I bought it. I noticed that many reviewers have posted pictures of mismatched keys. Maybe I was lucky but everything matched my old key and this new frame. First the metal core needs to slide over the plastic body, it fits snugly and I smeared some oil on the plastic body and metal core of the key before putting it on. I had to use pliers to push it through at the very end. Once the metal core and plastic are connected you have to INSERT it into the frame, you cannot snap it or drop it as shown in many photos in the negative reviews. You have to move it, and there is ONLY one way to move it so the screw hole doesn't line up. Overall the setup was excellent but challenging. Thanks to the additional plastic sleeve on the bottom of the key, the key now works and feels stronger than before. I also bought a silicone case for the new key to prevent further damage. Great product and I hope it will last as long as my original key (about ten years!).
