Slight rancid odour, fragrance oil must be added to mask this if to be used to impregnate clothing.
All the beeswax I've ever dealt with have had varying degrees of honey smell. This product had a slight rancid odor. Since I used it to impregnate a canvas coat, I had to add fragrance oil to the melted wax to mask the smell of the packaging. I hope it works, but I won't know for a few weeks. As for the wax itself, nice 1lb blocks, light golden colour, typical beeswax consistency. Everything was fine except for the smell.
