Picture and sound quality as expected. 4K is 4K, ARC does its job, optical out does its job. The functionality can only cheer, especially in this price range. About a week after the installation everything stopped working. Luckily, a simple web search revealed that the power supply "brick" that the USB cable is plugged into is prone to failure. Apparently this is a general problem for all of these switches, not just this one. Of course I swapped the included brick for the one I had at home and everything works as it should again. For $22 I'm still very happy with the purchase.
