Review on ๐Ÿ”Œ Brydge Vertical Dock for 13-inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar (2020-2016), featuring 2 x Thunderbolt 3 Ports by Flex Morgan

Revainrating 2 out of 5

I really want this to actually work for the use advertised. Unfortunately there aren't any.

I really wanted this to work. I had my eye on the vertical dock that was originally created by henge forever although i have never bought this particular model before it is now called the brydge i love the vertical docking feature i love that there are 2 thunderbolt 3 ports and this is mine Love for that. Plugging in a Thunderbolt 3 cable that's connected to a powered device in a daisy chain doesn't work for me. I can see it's plugged in, but the battery gauge on my MacBook Pro 15 shows "Not charging So I have to connect my MacBook Pro charger to the top of the computer to charge as I need both ports built into the Brydge to connect the TB3 to HDMI and my external hard drive the one that makes everything look like a mess. Even a few hours later, Brydge picks up my computer again and it's unplugged, assuming it's spring-loaded. I have to keep clicking it because it pops up automatically. This is very frustrating as it keeps disconnecting my external drive without properly ejecting it. I would prefer they remove this spring loading feature because it's clearly too much and doesn't hold the computer in place. It's either that or one Installing a lock switch on Brydge could prevent it from being automatically ejected between. o Shutting down and not being able to properly charge across chained devices is a major impediment and unfortunately not recommended.

Pros
  • FAST CONNECTION OF PERIPHERAL DEVICES: Easy integration and instant connection with all your devices, including two external displays. For 13" MacBook Pro with Touch Bar (2020-2016). This will not work with MacBooks without Touch Bars. MacBook not included.
