Worked for me! by boat

I had a 5-6 inch tear in the hull of my Trilon Hurricane kayak. I have used this product in combination with some patches (recommended by Hurricane) which are heated and then applied to create a strong bond to the mold of the damaged area of the case. Unfortunately I wasn't able to heat the patch sufficiently to get a good watertight seal (bad as I only had a blow dryer to heat it. After a brief attempt to heat the patch I found this to be iffy was, but decided to give it a try anyway). The day after I was convinced it wasn't a good seal I had to decide whether to remove the patch and start over or try to seal/fill the areas that weren't tight enough to the case. I chose the latter and ordered Gflex. It arrived quickly and as soon as I received it I taped the inside of the hull of the GFlex kayak to cover the torn area and filled the two holes I drilled (which are needed for each). end of the crack to prevent further cracks). I applied it about an extra two inches beyond the crack and drilled holes. After that, on the outside of the kayak, I applied Gflex around the outside edges of the patch, focusing on areas where I couldn't get a tight fit, and left it on for 24 hours. Spent 4 hours today on a river with lots of shoals and rocks so the patchwork was checked fairly well and everything stayed watertight inside. This step/product may not have been required. However, I think it increased everything. I found GFlex easy to use and appreciated it as a kit. The small cards and application pen that you use to mix the two epoxy resins make application easier. I hope I don't have to use it again but if I do I'm sure it will do the job.
