I ordered 2 of these tarps for a recent camping trip - one 10x10 and one 13x13 as we were expecting rain. My plan was to put one over our tent and one in front of it. Unfortunately, we had so much wind that we couldn’t get the tarp up without the wind lifting it off the poles. I’m sure someone with better knot-tying skills could find a way to do it but for our space, the size of our tent and the weather we were trying to put it up in - it wasn’t worth the hassle. In the end, we found our rain fly was leaking so between storms, we took the rain fly off and put the large tarp over the tent, zip tying the grommets to the tent poles to keep it in place -then put the rain fly back on - again to keep the tarp in place (so the wind wasn’t lifting it like a sail) - and this saved the camping trip. It made for a hot tent, but it was dry which was our goal.I do agree with the other reviews about the sad stakes. They are thin, light-weight aluminum and bend very easily. I’m including pictures of the stakes compared to other basic (cheap) tent stakes and better quality stakes. The stakes that came with these tarps bent easily despite being used in relatively soft ground. They cannot hold up to the stress of being pulled on or hammered into hard or rocky ground. I would definitely recommend purchasing additional stakes for these tarps.All in all, this is a great light-weight tarp that fits nicely in the carrying case. They didn’t fit our needs for this trip, but I’m glad to have them on hand for future camping trips.
