Update December 11th: I still love my trays. Given some of the concerns raised by others, I just wanted to note that my 13-inch MacBook Pro fits perfectly in this compartment. I usually use my trays horizontally, but if you tilt the tray a lot the laptop slides around and has no edge to hold it on the tray. But the rubber holds the laptop in place at a smaller angle. Same goes for the mouse - just make sure the tray with the logo is the right way round as the mouse tray only has one edge. on the one hand ------------ I bought it to use on my padded kneeling desk that doesn't have a mouse rest when I feel like working in my living room. Works great - just what I need! I like to switch my mouse between left and right on a regular basis, so the mouse drawer is ideal. I love that I don't have to take it off to switch sides, just tuck it in. And the textured rubberized surface keeps my 13" MacBook Pro in place while I work. I love it so much I bought a second one to use at my desk. I have a dual monitor stand with it a keyboard tray with a mouse tray attached. But the keyboard tray doesn't move. I have neck problems and I can't turn my neck sideways for a long time without pain. When I want to turn to a certain monitor, I have to move the keyboard, but then I can I find it difficult to use the mouse because the tray doesn't move, so I put this on a keyboard shelf so I can tilt the keyboard towards the monitor and still have a mouse pad.
