My dog goes in and out at the back door numerous times each day, and she's always knocking the doormat out of place. The anti-slip backing on this mat works similar to a static window cling, so it adheres nicely to the tile floor and it hasn't budged an inch since I placed it days ago.The dog is also skilled at finding things she wants to lay on, much like a cat, and she's chosen this mat as a good spot. The texture is nice and soft, closer to a bath mat than a scratchy utility rug. It's actually nicer on my bare feet than the mats in my kitchen. If it came in larger sizes or more colors, I'd definitely look into replacing other utility rugs in my home with this.
