So far I have used this dryer in the US, UK and Germany. It's great - such a better blow off than hotel dryers in less time and compactness. There is a switch that you need to set to the correct voltage depending on your country. This is for a pen. You will still need a plug to socket adapter for the country you are in and I recommend using an adapter with surge protection. In Europe, never plug a hair dryer into a shaver socket in a bathroom. You will blow the fuse. They are not intended for our hair devices. Unfortunately, in many hotels in Europe, you can't dry your hair in the bathroom and have to use another power outlet in the room.
