Review on Lincoln 1142 HD Lever Action Grease Gun: Rigid Extension, Dual Lip Follower, Jam Proof Toggle by Devin Henry

This grease gun is REALLY value for money. First, it's very well done. The upper part containing the "pump" is a casting. It has both a vent hole and another port for removing grease. Second, it has a feature that allows the T-handle to push the plunger to fill the barrel with grease. The T-handle can be rotated 90 degrees so it doesn't protrude beyond the end of the cylinder. This greatly simplifies refueling the gun. The plunger can also be removed and inverted to use grease in bulk instead of a cartridge. I haven't used this feature, but it looks like it's working fine. For the last 8 years I have used a 4 ounce mini syringe to flush my boat trailer wheel bearings. It usually lasted an hour and I greased myself and the butter dish and there was a lot of cursing. With this grease gun it took about 10 minutes per wheel with very little mess. It just works great. If you decide to buy, do yourself a favor and read the instructions. Some functions were not clear to me at first glance.
