TLDR: Headphone sound is great, chat mic is very weak. This review is specifically for use to connect AirPods to PS4. I really wanted to use my AirPods with my PS4 to chat online with my friends without a huge bulky headset or any cables, so after some research online I bought both and the Avantree Leaf (https://www.amazon. com/gp/product/B07Q3CBZZJ/) for comparison. Both had pros and cons when I got my hands on them, but let's focus on the one I'm writing a review for. LISTENING The USB adapter transmits the sound very reliably to the Bluetooth headphones. Pairing is quick and easy and the sound quality is as expected. Nothing fancy on that front, but it works for it, and it works well. If you just want to listen to PS4 audio through headphones instead of chatting then this is a good buy for the price. CHAT/MIC HOWEVER, the USB adapter is NOT compatible with the microphone on AirPods, it only sends audio to AirPods. One thing the listing doesn't make very clear (but you can tell from the photos if you look closely) is that the mic button is a live mic; it does not transmit the microphone signal from the headset. The microphone button is rather weak and very directional; If you play with your hands/controller in the default position, your voice is barely audible. You can either move the gamepad closer to your face (let's face it, nobody does) or, more likely, increase the microphone sensitivity on the PS4. Menu to make your voice heard. But when you do this, the button presses on the controller become VERY loud in group chat (swapping one problem for another, not a good solution). I'm also a loud guy, so unless he can't even pick up my constant cries of disrespect towards the neighbors without maximum sensitivity, he's not going to take anything very well. Again, this experience is very specific to PS4 and AirPods. Can't comment on whether or not other headsets have had luck transmitting/receiving the mic. And if you don't need voice chat, you don't care about the cons. Overall it was cheap ($16) so I'll keep it as a backup rather than wasting time/energy on a refund, but if you're using it for the same application as me, be aware that there are limitations.
