The female urinal was of course designed with the female anatomy in mind. This urinal will prevent leakage when placed correctly, but will not work if the person is lying down as the design does not allow it. I bought it so that a woman lying down could use it in place of a bedpan. That does not work. The person should stand or sit on the edge of a chair or similar so that the waste can easily enter the container. I have to admit that the male urinal is much better designed as it can be used standing, sitting or lying without any problem, but again it's anatomy.
