I have purchased many wooden dolls from various sources but the woodpeckers are some of the best quality I have seen. Too often I've received pens that require such thorough pre-sharpening that it really adds a lot of wasted time to my workday. These Woodpeckers peg-in dolls are smooth and ready to paint - no sanding required. The color of the wood blends beautifully (there are no surprising "dark" areas that require more paint to cover). I especially appreciate that Woodpeckers offers a discount if you buy in bulk. Most of my work calls for the largest 3-9/16 inch dolls, which of course are the most expensive no matter where you buy them. So a discount helps a lot.
