So far so good. I installed a Denso replacement alternator a few weeks ago and it fixed my truck's charging issue. The original alternator had 339,000 miles and I was hoping to replace it with an original part. Too expensive! The guy from Toyota gave me a lot of help and said that you should definitely buy a Denso. Installation is fairly easy for any competent shade tree mechanic. Also noteworthy; On high mileage vehicles of this type you will likely need to replace the tensioner/adjuster. Mine was completely rusted and cut off when I rammed it in with a pry bar.
