I live alone and for health reasons I don't want to eat microwave popcorn that you buy at the store. I bought these bags to make popcorn in the microwave. I put 1/3 cup of popcorn kernels in a bag, no oil, invert the lid and seal in about six places, pop in the oven for about 2 minutes and 50 seconds, and I have popcorn! These bags work great. I don't have a popcorn machine to put in or take out! I cut the bag open, pour the good popcorn into a bowl, and put whatever I want in it. These bags are great for this purpose and big enough for the job!
