UPDATE: I'm leaving one star now because now my data is erased even without improper erasure. So if something goes wrong and the data is lost, I can just upload it again and not lose the actual files that I can't recover. Keep in mind that things like turning it off without following the right steps will lose data written to it, as is the case with most extremely cheap external hard drives like this one. If you're someone who plays online games and just needs something to store your base game files, this is a cheap alternative that will work. But as a true external hard drive, you get what you pay for. It's not like you should rely on single file copies or things you don't want to lose.
