I love the smell. It's beautiful but subtle. I prefer subtle scents over other extremely floral scented products that you can sense anywhere in the room. The hole is shaped to allow easy access to the product without overdoing it. It looks like one of those spinning pepper shakers. The product does its job well, absorbing oil and adding texture or lifting hair when it gets greasy or flat. finely ground/powdered dry shampoos I've tried, but they also don't stick together as much as more powdered ones if you accidentally add too much. I've tried applying it to the roots and massaging/brushing the method; and I've tried putting it on my hands, rubbing it, rubbing it in my hair. The latter was my favorite of the two for this product. This was enough to draw out the oil without having to pour it directly onto the roots.
