Review on Motherboard ASUS ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING WIFI II by Mateusz Rzeczycki ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A great option for this money, one of the best offers.

Cool mother. Probably the best one I've ever worked with in the budget segment. If it had Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, there would be no price at all. Actually, it costs more than competitors, but it's worth it. Got pros: 1) Quality The board is made very cool, no flaws, all components are of high quality, much better than most boards based on the b350 chipset. 2) All in radiators. Radiators in all heated areas, especially in the VRM zone. As a result, even during overclocking, the VRM temperature stays below 75 degrees. 3) Auto overclocking from Asus. I overclocked the memory from 2400 MHz to 3133 MHz, in the machine. In manual above, it turned out only up to 3200, but without reliability. The CPU overclocked automatically to 3.7 GHz, manually it turned out to take 3.8 - and also without stability. 4) Aura Sync+Fan Control Built-in fan control, both DC and PWM. Simply and clearly organized. 5) A very rich set of extensions. Lots of SATA, lots of USB3.0. 6) Good built-in sound. For music - more than the average user needs. The external audio Duo Capture Ex at the output gives a sound of comparable quality when listening to consumer devices. With its cons: 0) Lack of SLI/NVLink support. (It's hard to find fault, after all, the budget segment) 1) Port layout. Very controversial decisions on the location of pins for turntables, SATA ports and pumps. 2) Lack of niches for covert wiring (frankly a nitpick, boards of this level don’t have them) 3) Price Just more expensive than most competitors on this chipset.
