Just used this bag as a personal item on an airplane trip and loved it! Fits perfectly under an airplane seat, even in tighter seats, and allows me to carry everything I need to be comfortable on the flight (lightweight hoodie, refillable water bottle, phone, iPad, book, chargers, cosmetic bag, snacks , 3 - a liter bag of liquid, glasses, headphones and more!). Plenty of pockets/spaces both inside and outside the bag. The luggage handle sleeve was very handy for just slipping on my hard side and rolling easily around the airport and on and off my flights. It's also convenient to wear as a backpack on your back or shoulder, and the carrying handle came in handy for picking up the bag. The only downside is that the zipper wasn't always "smooth" when opening or closing due to the medical bag style corners of the top. Clasp (i.e. sometimes difficult to close or open with one hand, or when the flaps were not perfectly aligned). For me this is not a crucial factor due to the many advantages of this bag, but for others it can be annoying.
