So let's debunk the hype surrounding feather razors. Yes, they are spicy! No, they won't scratch your face unless you shave aggressively or quickly. It also helps maintain the correct angle. I love these razors. That's what I expect from a Japanese product. Although expensive, I got a really good shave with these razors. I recommend using preshave oil or preshave mode before shaving with a good quality blade including this one. This avoids cuts and skin irritations. I managed a good 4 shaves with this blade to have a full beard on my first shave. The second blade is currently used for the third shave and shaves well. Depending on your skin, your pre-shave regime and the stiffness of your facial hair, you'll get about 4-7 shaves with one blade. Don't be afraid of feather razors. As my first DE razor, this was my first choice and I have no regrets. I'm new to this style of shaving!
