I've spent a lot of time (what else to do?) buying thermometer clip holders. Okay, typing this makes me feel like an idiot, but whatever. Almost all were obviously too narrow to be used on the grill in the oven. People have posted workarounds - like using a cooling rack on top of an oven rack. Truth? It was the only thing that looked promising - and it worked. I had to spread the wings a bit to make them point up, but if I was okay with them pointing down, she was ready to go. Now that I've thought about it, I agree that it's facing down (hanging from a rack) because it's out of the way (and closer to the center of the oven). Will update if problems arise, but looks good!
