Good Start: APP Remote Control Cars & Parts

I love this thing! I've been interested in first person drones for a while but I don't have a better living situation to try and learn how to fly something like a 5 inch plane? That is absolutely doable. The drone itself is pretty neat. I spent many hours in simulations, so I knew how to fly, but I really had no idea how the drone would react to me in physical reality, so the first flight started in hover mode. Sport mode just requires you to think of the throttle now, then switch to manual mode to open it fully. All of these modes are toggled with a switch on the controller, and the opposite switch controls the PID with slow, medium, and fast presets . The presets appear to mainly affect the rotation speed of the aircraft in 3D space. I don't notice a huge difference in actual throttle, but maybe a little. Then the whole heart wants to take off, raise the landing gear, close the flaps, etc. compared to the different modes you have to learn. Sport mode is also pretty fun and doesn't look too much like training wheels or anything like that. It's worth noting that if you dream of plugging this thing into a computer and flashing something on it, they remain unchanged as they are not supported in Beta/Emuflight. My only criticism of the drone is that it doesn't have a turtle mode and the drone likes to lie upside down on the ground, just like peanut butter toast. There is a switch on the remote that is perfect for flipping the drone, but it is used to switch the VTX to a different channel, which I haven't had to do yet. However, he often overturned. The frame is pretty sturdy, but BetaFPV does not currently sell replacement frames. You can easily fit the innards of this drone into a different frame, but that's something to be aware of. What surprised me the most were the lenses. I really like her. I expected them to be terrible but they are comfortable, compact, clear and easy to use. It has some features, but the bottom line is you can turn it on, press a button, put it on your face and fly, and it works just as easily with other drones. I like the internal battery. For the price, I can't really complain about the controller at all, and when you factor in the cost of the drone and goggles, you're getting it almost for free. It works great and is easy to use, but it's a little clunky in terms of operation. It's easy to use with Sims. I would suggest keeping this as a backup or loaning it to a buddy who doesn't have his own kit. In general wow. As an ensemble, I couldn't be happier with my purchase. It's exactly what I expected in terms of difficulty but about 200% more fun. Get more batteries.
