A hard NO to this purchase

If I had tested them sufficiently within the return period I would return this item... It's big and chunky but that's not the real issue. I bought this item so I can crochet with the right light and my husband can dim the light to watch TV. Unfortunately, the lights on this thing don't do anything to illuminate the yarn well enough to be useful. First, there's a bad light angle, although I can bend the lights' arms. Secondly, the difference between the 3 brightness settings is practically imperceptible on the project itself. I can tell the light clicks and gets brighter, but when I shine it on my project I don't see any difference, especially with darker yarns. Third, the light seems to fade over time. I understand that the light might dim a bit as battery life decreases, but the leak seems terribly significant considering I've only had the product for a few months. To be honest, that thing probably goes in the trash can.
