Bought as a gift and fortunately was there on the first try. The charging cable did not fit the quadrocopter from the start. A piece of plastic sticks out in the middle of the charging connector. You can fix this by taking a razor blade and carefully slicing it so the white part is even throughout. This worked and allowed us to connect it to the quad. Once it was fully charged, we put the batteries in the controller and tried turning it on. The light went on and off immediately. Tried several pairs of batteries, tested these batteries in other devices. The controller did not stay on. Never had to fly it.
