The bits appear to be solid metal. The problem I had with the set was the stylus. The socket in the handle has a magnet so weak it won't hold the bit in place. Yes. The racket keeps falling out of the grip. I tried all the bits and none of them could be held in place by the magnet. I tried contacting customer service using the link on the box but it didn't work. I find the bits themselves worth the price, but plan on having my own 1/4" socket to work with. As with most "Made in China" products, the problem is POOR quality. Just use a stronger magnet. From now on, MADE is the first choice in the USA, also at a higher price.
