I got the big one because every time I order a holdall it just doesn't fit everything I need. The larger version of this bag is true to size. I put the hair clipper with power supply and accessories in a wet bag along with curtains to catch hair. On the other side I loaded my toothbrush, comb, toothpaste and nail set. In the main compartment of the bag, I packed deodorant and the occasional accessory needed for a long trip: a medicine dispenser, an axe, a regular-size canister, a full-size soap dish, and there was still room. If you're traveling with small travel essentials, you can probably get by with a smaller bag. But I travel prepared for an emergency delay wherever I go. I bought a more expensive holdall which luckily is on sale but the one size only fits half the stuff. After all the headaches associated with traveling with subpar small bags, this is a winner.
