Review on 🍎 Starfrit Rotato Express 2.0 Electric Peeler - Updated Model with 6 Replacement Blades (White) by Pushkraj Barton

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I could love potatoes again.

Dear Mom, I hate peeling potatoes. I hate this more than I could ever say. I am a mother of four children and I cook for 6 people every day. My husband is very fond of potatoes, so to my detriment we have a lot of them in all their different forms. And I hate her so much. So it's so hard. After the kids broke the handle of the Bed, Bath & Beyond apple/potato peeler I got on with it pretty well, I looked up Revain and found this little gem. It works out? Damn yes! Is it durable? Probably not, unless it's run by someone other than my kids. It arrived today and even on first use it saved 45 minutes of the time it would normally take for manual cleaning. Would you find this in the kitchen of a 5 star restaurant? no However, I'm stingy and lazy, so you'll find it in my kitchen. Tried it today with potatoes and apples and it worked as expected. It doesn't convey highs and lows well, but did you really expect that? Nothing less, does anything? I cut it anyway, I just cut these pieces off, no extra waste and less than hand cleaning. Problem solved. Although I laughed at the instructions. You can pull out the food stand to clean it, so that's the first thing I did. The food stall is described as very spicy. It's spicy, sure, but if it's what you call extremely spicy, we'll have to put you out of the herd. My kids always have smarter toys. (Have you ever stepped on a Lego barefoot?) As for the blades, I'm not stupid enough to stick my finger in them to see how sharp they are. All I can tell you is that I didn't cut myself taking it off to clean it. The "thumb knife" is also a cheap plastic wedge. Seriously, don't buy it for this little accessory. Buy it because it works if you use it carefully. Edit: As others have said, the on/off button broke after a few weeks. Now I have to plug it in to peel and pull it out when I'm at the bottom of the potato. But still faster than manual. 11/28/19 Edit: He finally died. Plugged in and nothing happens. Well, while it lasted I guess.
