They are very easy to break in, with a medium shank making it very easy to get the right arch. I've been dancing en pointe for 20 years and 7 of them and the price couldn't be better. The only thing I foresee is that they would wear out faster because they are so easy to break in, but as I only do this to maintain my flexibility and don't do shows and classes with them they are perfect. You might need sturdier shoes like fleas or capezios if you're into shows, but if you're a dumbass like me, it's great. Because the price is so affordable, having to replace them after they wear out won't break the bank.
