Very hard to find mats for toddlers. Bought for my grandson who is 7 years old and not very tall for his age. They fit him well enough that he wanted to use them. I think they are still a bit big for him but the elastic holds up well enough to please a small child. This rug also fits my other grandson who is 10 years old and I think it fits the way you want it. They appear to be well constructed, especially given the price point, which is way better than many other pads I've looked at both online and in stores. I'm confident they will hold up at their level and provide more than adequate protection throughout the season and possibly into next year. I can't confirm its durability because I just bought it, but the quality of the finish makes me think it's not a waste of money.
