I don't think I've ever had this problem with a drying mat before. Plates, bowls or cups lying face down on the mat will not dry out. Thus, after 12 hours, the side of the plate that is facing down will become damp. Even after 12 hours, the insides of the bowl and cup, which are placed upside down, remain moist. The side facing up is completely dry. As such, these mats do not dry out or absorb moisture at all, they just seal off the air and insulate moisture. so your dishes don't dry out, that's the whole point. I have to make sure that the panels are stacked on top of each other and positioned at such an angle that each of them allows air to flow under the floor.
