Review on πŸ—„οΈ Iris USA DTD-L Large Black Desktop Stacking Drawer - Pack of 6 by Brenda Sanchez

Not very strong or unable to hold together

That seemed like a great idea. but not very well made for the price. I have a busy office with multiple boxes and wanted to add more boxes and thought this would be a good solution. They're a decent size, shallow drawers, but they don't stick together at all. The included plastic clips to securely close the drawers don't clamp very well and I kept tightening them and it even resulted in the drawers opening (every time). Finally I used duct tape to hold them together. It worked well and is of course safe, but if I ever have to rearrange the drawers there will be some tape left on it.... For the $10 they cost (like a $60 set of 6) they should be better made. And one more thing - they're not very structurally sound: I don't have much flat space in my office, and I use what I have. free for storage/office use. EXAMPLE: I have short shelves on my desk that hold vertical file holders etc and any flat space in my office is prime. These drawers were designed to sit on top of my desk and then allow other items (tissue box, stapler, pen holder, etc.) to sit on top of the drawer to make good use of the offset flat surface (like I said - a crowded office) space ). ). These drawers are very weak in the sense that they will allow anything over half a pound to flex the surface of the drawer frame, which then blocks the drawers from being used (they won't open OR once you open them, you have to remove everything from the top of the unit to close the drawers again). Not cool. For $10 a box, I expect them to stay in place, stay strong, and "work". (Hmmm - sort of like *I* do every day - HA!) It was a good idea, just not very well executed.

Pros
  • 6 pack set
Cons
  • Useless features
