I have another fountain pen from this brand but it is awkward to hold due to its decorative design. I got this because it looked way more ergonomic and easier. Overall I like this pen and the set is much better, with a few caveats. However, for the asking price, this is an easy way to learn to draw or write with a pen. The set includes a simple wooden pen base, a set of nibs, a surprisingly handy pen holder, some blank cards and a jar of red ink. and a jar of black ink. Using the standard pointed tip (which comes with the pen/holder) and black ink, I had a lot of fun creating some quick sketches. In general this works fine. The jar isn't very shaped to dip the pen in, but I used an ink bottle's plastic stopper to hold a small amount of ink for dipping, and you could use a lid or other small container (an eyedropper would be nice, but it is not included). I didn't like other pens and red ink very much. They work well but could definitely do better - more vibrant colors on inks and better ink retention on tips. However, there are many ways to try and get started decently. You can add more tips at any time. The pen holder provides a convenient place to store your pen when not in use. It has a hole at the bottom and ink may drip/leak out if you put an ink dripping pen in it, so don't do that! Overall a good starter set for the money.
