I can't rate you as well as the other excellent reviewers already provided. Read this. You will find that they are amazingly consistent. That says a lot about the quality of the microphone. Before I retired, I bought a microphone to give training at my company. It was an XLR podcasting mic from MXL mics. It was good, but there wasn't much to tell. I recently decided to start a podcast. No matter what I did, my blender's output was loud and a bit harsh. I have a rather soft, calm voice. Poor. But a good, dramatic baritone, pleasing to the ear. But my old microphone has lost much of its richness. Worse, I had to increase the input gain on my mixer. The noise gets louder. Mute the microphone with the Lewitt 440 Pure. Just that. Wow! I had to reduce the gain to about a third of the MXL mic. And the noise receded into the background. Suddenly my voice came to the fore. It also does a great job of reproducing the rich lower register of my voice. I sound a lot more natural. This is quite a Friday reaction with a slight uptrend in the upper range. Lightens the tone a bit. But not too much, but be careful! You need to practice with this mic. If you don't already know how to use a microphone properly to avoid plosive noise and not overload it, practice pointing the microphone at the corner of your mouth. This allows you to get close enough to increase the mic's "presence" (the richness of the sound) without having to deal with explosive distortion. In short, this will greatly improve the podcast and the various recordings I will be making with it. Get out there and enjoy using this microphone. The resulting recording is a pleasure to use and listen to. Enjoy!
