Back is better, even halo diapers are readable. However, when I woke up and saw my baby lying on his stomach in this cradle, I was shocked at first sight. After using the Halo Bassinest for the first time, I noticed my newborn moving to an end on its own and decided to use it again and keep a close eye on it. I was shocked to discover that he (at a week old) had turned over. This was the last time he was in it and we returned immediately. When we were looking for the best product that will let us all sleep well at night knowing our little one is safe this was extremely disappointing as this product was one of the top rated. Under no circumstances is it worth the risk.
