We use only the functions of a steamer and a blender. It is convenient enough to put on a timer, and when steamed, turn over, drain excess water and grind. However, it is inconvenient to use as a standalone blender (heavy, small, uncomfortable, noisy), so you still need to buy a separate blender. After steaming, too much water remains and must be partially drained - i. E. you still have to open it and do something, and not just turn it over. If you are not going to use the unit for more than a year and there is absolutely not enough space in the kitchen for a separate double boiler + blender set, then you can put up with the cost and take it, and after a year (when the baby grows up) give up the double boiler and take a normal blender. Due to the shortcomings described, I consider it more optimal to buy a separate double boiler and a separate blender - it will turn out both more functional and cheaper.
