vacuum cleaner - solid 5 stars. This works much better than the iLife robot vacuum I used before. It's more consistent in its cleaning pattern than the random zigzags I've found on iLife, so more area is cleaned. Also, this one is smarter and can be counted on not to fall down the stairs, and also manages to detach much better. If it randomly gets stuck, I get a notification in the app so I know how to fix it. Overall, I'm always surprised at how much dust and hair it picks up. Opening the trash can is both exciting and gross. Mopping floors is closer to 2.5 stars. You have to use the vacuum cleaner at least 3 times before you can start mopping (it has to learn the situation, so to speak). After 3 full cleaning cycles, you can see a map of your home in the app so you can lock down the mopping areas. Keep in mind that the maps don't look anything like the images on display - they're much more primitive, but surprisingly accurate. The mopping pad doesn't cover the floor completely and there are 2 small plastic open areas (about a penny size). I can feel these streaks on the hardwood floors or any stains. I don't think you will have this problem with tiles. It could also be my floors. They are almost 5 years old and tend to show everything. I think I washed the protective layer. Oops. Anyway, I find my floors look streaky and not particularly clean. It may well be that this is just a problem affecting me and my floors. In general, I have a lot of complaints about mopping. Bottom line, I'm not necessarily convinced of the wiping aspect, but the vacuum cleaner is awesome. I like the app too. I would definitely buy it again, or at least the vacuum-only model.
