Review on ๐Ÿท Digital Electronic Savings Piggy Machine by Brad Bowers

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Defective within 24 hours

Nice idea, terrible execution. First, it's nothing more than a glorified alarm clock/calculator. God forbid you have more than 20 bucks. If you do, and if you want this thing to correctly track the amount in its guts (which, let's be honest, is the main part of its purpose), you'll have to enter and remove the given bill multiple times to get the correct tracked amount . So if you have a $50 bill, you have to enter the bill at least three times to convince the machine that it actually dispensed $50 ($20 + $20 + $10) because you have to tell it the denomination of the banknote you are inserting. There are no $50 and $100 buttons. While this is recognized as unusual for children, this will be a much bigger problem than it should be for those saving larger bills. Second, the device was operational for less than 24 hours. Received at noon until the exit function stopped working. Even when I removed and reinserted the batteries for a hard reset, we couldn't access my daughter's savings. I ended up having to hack the thing to take her money so we could get the car back. All in all, I wouldn't recommend this even for young kids just learning currency. It's unreliable, inelegant and expensive. Stay away.
