Review on Black Audio-Technica ATH-M50X Professional Grade Studio Monitor Headphones with Detachable Cable - Critically Acclaimed by Adisorn Wichit ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best product, from those that I have viewed, I advise everyone!

I spent a significant amount of time at home making comparisons to other classics within the category, such as the Beyerdynamic 770, 990, pro and not pro, as well as the Sony 7506 and something else; however, in the end, I decided to go with the M50X. The purchasers unquestionably come out ahead in terms of soundstage and detail. I really liked them, that 770, that 990 in any ohms, and they are comfortable as well; however, I could not stand the loose top on them. I am sorry to say that. It's personal, it's natural for some people, but for others, like me, it's just not feasible to pay attention for an extended period of time, and that's all there is to it. Sony 7506, despite being a classic, I didn't understand them at all; I tried to buy them twice and refused them both times; the top is also quite aggravating right, but not as much as the Bayers; and I didn't like them. Comparing the M50x and the M40x was something that crossed my mind at this point. Both are of really high quality. The M50x offers a slightly improved level of detail, whereas the M40x offers a somewhat smoother and less intense bass. In the end, he chose to stop counting at the number 50. I won't make the claim that these are the best headphones in the world since I don't want to sound arrogant. There are certain negatives, one of which is that the middle and lower portions, to my opinion, are slightly foggy. The soundstage is not the best, but unlike 770 and 990, it is not exposed. Within two years, the ear pads will undoubtedly start to come apart, and it will be quite difficult to locate original, unforged ones. You are able to listen in such a manner, but they appear revolting. But because of their reliable performance in the mid-range, they continue to be my everyday headphones.

Pros
  • My go-to headphones when traveling. After using M50s for a few years, I moved on to the M50x and found that I enjoyed it even more; so, I purchased those as well. Someone has stated that there is no discernible difference between the two, but I find that to not be the case; the M50X provides superior detail.
Cons
  • Ear pads were covered in dirt after two years.
