This microphone is ideal for use in the studio as it has a clean, natural warm tone and is very quiet. Self-noise / background noise is very low. The only mics I have that even come close to that price are well over $1,000. This is very important for people who want to record speech, as the recording will be clean and clear without the need to apply post-processing filters. Not only does this save you time in post-production, but it also improves your final mix by starting with as few filters as possible. What I like best, apart from the low noise level, is the sound. It's warm and natural. I used to use mics that were either too muddy or too bright and harsh when I was listening for long periods. Tone X2 is right in the middle. not too soft, not too bright.
