I love that this stainless steel container comes in a range of colours. In my family there are 3 people and each of us should have our own color. The opening is wide enough to slip an ice cube through the hole (but not a blender ball - look for a container with a wide mouth if using a container to mix protein drinks). The negative reviews about the smell of the oil are correct. On the advice of a customer, I heated the water in a saucepan and added some Dawn soap. When the water was very hot (not boiling) I placed the container in the water (not the lid) for about 3 minutes. (The paint didn't wash off.) I used tongs to dip the lid in the soapy water about 10 times. After about 3 minutes I took the container out of the water and hand washed it in soapy water, rinsed and no smell! The smell would be a deal breaker for me as I am very sensitive to smells. Thank you to the customer who made this offer. This is a very good quality stainless steel product and I could not find a better product.
