BLACKED RATING (1 star to 5 stars!) So yesterday I wanted to return the device because the remote stopped working after about the first 10 seconds of use. Luckily I didn't go and processed the return the same day because I woke up this morning to a personalized email from the seller (hey Chris!) who kindly explained why my remote stopped working. Basically, I just needed to use the right type of USB connector. I bought these LEDs for the back of my PC monitor, so I originally used the USB ports built into my PC case. Obviously these USB ports were NOT suitable for use. After I switched to the ones built into my motherboard, the remote worked without any problems. It also worked great with a regular USB phone charging port plugged into an outlet. Bottom line: if your remote works for the first 10 seconds and then stops working, try a different USB port! Don't be like me and jump to the conclusion that the product is defective after trying a USB port. PS If you intend to attach them to the back of your PC monitor, be sure to order the 10mm 4-pin connectors. You will need to cut these strips and peel off the gummy top layer and sticky backing before inserting them into the connectors.
